Software and Data Engineering

 In the Software and Data Engineering concentration you'll have opportunities to realize practical understanding of software development, managing teams as they work together to make large-scale software systems, and the ethical and intellectual property concerns associated with software engineering. You will gain a familiarity with data engineering aspects including data analysis, mathematical modeling, and artificial intelligence.

As a student during this concentration, you'll learn skills and therefore the understanding needed to construct top quality software systems and leverage data to unravel problems using data engineering techniques. Due to the universal use of software, you may also be able to use your software engineering knowledge as an interdisciplinary skill set to complement your work in your chosen problem domain.
The sequences below will be for those students starting in the Fall semester and taking a 9 hour (full-time) course load.
